Welcome to the NEW Vogue Patterns!
I don’t usually step out from behind the scenes, but I’m so excited to tell you about all the fantastic changes going on here, that I had to break my silence and write.
We’re giving our magazine a major makeover from cover to cover and everything in between, and we’re very proud of it! Our staff has been working hard for the past few months, transforming layouts into crisper, clearer spreads, definitely worthy of saving in your archives or pinning to your inspiration boards. We’re expanding the number of articles to give you more of what you crave...sewing information! Whether it’s de-mystifying a couture technique; ideas for recycling, reusing, and “sewing green;” new tools and equipment to make your sewing easier and more fun; or a lighthearted look at sewing experiences from your fellow readers, we’re dedicated to bringing you the best information possible.
As always, we’ll be bringing you the newest fashions from cutting edge designers to keep you ahead of the pack, and always in vogue. From venerable icons like Donna Karan and Ralph Rucci to hot, up-and-coming stars like Pamela Roland and Vena Cava (shh, it’s a secret…they’re coming in 2011!), there isn’t another pattern company in the entire world who offers the roster of designers that Vogue Patterns does!
The staff and I are thrilled about making this magazine brilliant! We want it to be your go-to guide for everything sewing and fashion—the one you think of and turn to first, your comfort food of publications! Yet, we can’t embark on this transformation without you—our readers. I invite you to fill up my Inbox at email@example.com. Let me know how we’re doing. What you would like to see more of…or less of. Write about anything you want, be it a fashion that caught your eye,an in-depth look at a construction technique that has you stumped, or a new fabric you want to know more about. Anything. Positive or negative—constructive criticism is our best teacher. And while you’re at it, send us pictures of your sewing achievements. We’d love to see them, and so would your fellow readers! So, grab yourself a cup of coffee (or a spot of tea), and check us out. We’ve got a great line-up for you here, made up in an assortment of amazing, bright colored, richly textured, sequinned, quilted, embroidered and embossed fabrics that have my heart racing! But, lest I give it all away, just keep turning the pages and see for yourself. One last note, we’re not done yet! We have a lot more in store for upcoming issues, but we can’t tell you all our secrets yet! You’ll just have to keep coming back to see all the innovative concepts we’re working on for YOU!
